This study program is suitable for those of you who aspire to work in the fields of nutrition, food and health, both in government, private, NGO and independent practices. This study program is suitable for those of you who have a strong desire to help advance human resources through alleviating current nutritional problems and improving public health status. This study program is also suitable for those of you who want to have creative ideas, especially in the fields of nutrition, food and health.

Graduates of the Nutrition Study Program are expected to become professional practitioners in the field of nutrition, food and health who are able to 1) think broadly (meta-cognitive) on a scientific basis; 2) explain and apply nutrition science and technology in solving nutritional problems for individuals, groups and communities; 3) communicate effectively in counseling, nutrition education and dietetic services to deal with nutritional problems according to the results of the study and consider the implications; 4) managing nutrition services; 5) developing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative nutrition services as well as being able to adapt to conditions with limited resources; 6) work in teams and are responsible for the results of independent or group work and have a critical attitude, empathy for clients and work teams at internal and external levels of the organization; 7) designing and managing food administration in institutions by applying the concepts of nutrition and management; 8) develop a business plan for the program, product or service, including development budgets, staff requirements, facility requirements, equipment and supplies; and 9) conduct research in the field of nutrition and disseminate an accurate study on nutrition problems in the form of a research report.

  1. Improving the governance of the nutrition study program through improved services, collaboration networks, and digital-based management systems.
  2. Improving the quality of nutrition study program resources through improving the performance of the learning process, the quality and ranks of lecturers and staff, facilities and infrastructure, and income from related academic and non-academic activities.
  3. Improving the learning system of the nutrition study program through diversification of learning methods and forms.
  4. Increasing research and community service in the field of nutrition through increasing the quantity and quality of research and community service activities, scientific publications, intellectual property rights, as well as scientific works and activities characterized by tourism and entrepreneurship.
  5. Development of cooperation in realizing superior study programs which include national and international cooperation in the field of nutrition through cooperation with various related institutions.

COMPETENCY OF NUTRITION PROGRAM

Competencies that must be possessed by graduates of the Nutrition Study Program consist of main competencies, supporting competencies and other competencies. The main competencies are based on input obtained from PERSAGI (Indonesian Nutritionist Association) and AIPGI (Association of Indonesian Nutrition Education Institutions) which have been adjusted to the KKNI (Indonesian National Qualifications Framework):

Supporting Competencies of Graduates:

  • Carry out dietetic practices in accordance with the nutrition code of ethics
  • Promoting nutrition to the community
  • Carry out entrepreneurial practices in the field of nutrition, both in the production and marketing processes
  • Supervise and manage food management
  • Using 4.0 technology in the information dissemination process
  • Collaborate with other health professionals in determining the next action for the patient
  • Participate in the preparation and management of work units in food management
  • Determine appropriate nutrition service activities and modify them if necessary.
