Communication  is a unique interdisciplinary study because this study program examines the process of human communication from conceptualization of ideas, delivery, messages conveyed to receiving messages verbally or non-verbally. Students will learn about how to communicate effectively both directly (face to face) and through various media (mass media, electronic, digital, etc.).

Sahid University's Bachelor of Communication Studies Program has several concentration options, including:

  1. Public Relations
    In the Public Relations (PR) concentration, you will learn how to form and maintain an image and reputation in a company / organization in the community. Where the job of a PR is to manage the communication relationship between the company and people outside the company (external) such as the community, government, investors, as well as between the company and people inside the company (internal), namely employees. This concentration is perfect for those of you who like to appear and interact with many people, this study program will train you to be creative, active in social networks, active in social media, have high self-confidence, be independent, and vocal and have a very broad network. This study program is the right choice for those of you who are active, like to organize, outgoing and like to write, and those of you who choose this study program have a pleasant personality and are easy to get close to people.
  2. Marketing Communication
    Concentration of Marketing Communication (Marcomm) or also known as Marketing Communication, here you will learn various strategies regarding product communication, organizations / companies, and to audiences / individuals, how to negotiate, lobbying and advertising, you will also learn speaking techniques and analyze various factors in the company's marketing. Choosing this concentration is the right choice for you, because here you will be trained to be creative, active in social media, active in social media, have high self-confidence, are independent, and vocal and have a very broad network.
  3. Journalism
    Journalist is a cool and fun job, because being a journalist you will be more up to date with information, besides that you will often meet many people so that you have a wide network. Apart from being a journalist, those of you who choose this study program can also become a news anchor at a TV station. You who choose this concentration will learn many techniques related to journalism, such as searching for news, writing news, covering news, editing news and producing ethical news. Students with study programs must learn to strengthen logic in shaping the data you get into writing that contains information that is easily digested and accepted by many people.

  • Able to design, implement and evaluate various PR programs at various levels of the organization
  • Able to create a better understanding and image and public reputation so as to increase public confidence in an individual / organization's research and public opinion campaign.
